Wildlife Tours in Uganda a lifetime experience

Have you ever imagined a safari full of new experiences? Well, a tour to Uganda is the only trip that can guarantee you a thrilling exposure to different wild animals especially those that are hard to find in other places. The presence of numerous game reserves which act as homes to different mammal species is the main reason that has made this East African country exceptional when compared to other African countries. In 2013, Uganda was listed as the leading tourism destination in Africa and wildlife viewing is one of the main reasons why the country was recognized. Many tourists especially those interested in adventurous game drives are fond of coming to Uganda and all of them leave the country fully satisfied with what they have seen on their safari.

Although there are different places in the country where wild animals can be viewed, there are specific habituated places which are organized for tourists to go and view the mammals and these include; – Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and Lake Mburo National Park. In these areas, one is guaranteed a successful vie of different wild animals on a game drive.

I had a chance of escorting some tourists to Murchison Falls National Park for a 3 days Uganda Wildlife safari but what I personally experienced on the trip was life changing. Am a Ugandan but I had never taken time to explore the beauty of my mother country. We travelled from Kampala on our first day to the park and reached there in the afternoon. We rested at the lodge and in the evening went for a cultural walk to the neighboring villages. On this walk, we met people from western Uganda whose culture is rich and the tourists were able to embrace the true African culture. They had a chance to interact with some clan elders and they took some photos with them. We later returned to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. The next day was the best of our life as we went for a thrilling game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. On this drive, we saw different animals like the lions, elephants, kobs, giraffes, hippopotamus and many more. We returned to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before going for an evening boat ride. We even had a chance of reaching the top of the falls where we had a wonderful view of water flows and breathtaking sounds from the waters. According to some tourists I was with, this was their first-time experience and they vowed to come back next year. On our last day, we returned back to Kampala and the tourists were transferred to the airport.

From this day, I concluded that Uganda is the best destination for a wildlife experience.
