How a lioness brought life to a Uganda Wildlife Safari Tour

How a lioness brought life to a Uganda Wildlife Safari Tour

Organizing a Uganda wildlife Safari tour is one of the easiest task for most tour operators especially those that have been the business for quite a longtime. Infact a wildlife safari is less costly compared to other rips like gorilla trekking and mountain climbing. We received an inquiry on www.adventureugandasafaris.com from a client who wanted to go on a 3 days safari to queen Elizabeth National Park and was specifically interested in a game drive. As usual we went on advised him about the trip and also sent him a well detailed itinerary including all the costs. He was traveling with a wife who had never been on a game drive before in her life. Among the questions these clients asked was that “are there lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park?” and on basing on our experience and knowledge, we assured them that they are there are they are a-must see when on a game drive through the park. They agreed to our terms and conditions and went on and confirmed the safari. They actually made their first deposit on the same day they made that inquiry.

We went on and booked their lodge where they were to spend 2 days while in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Everything went on well and most of the arrangements were completed a month before the start of the safari. Time came when our long awaited for visitors arrived at Entebbe international airport. Our guide warmly welcomed them and later transferred them to their booked hotel in Kampala. They enjoyed every bit of it and one of them was heard whispering to another that “I never knew Africa was this beautiful”. They loved the hotel and they were amazed by the room they were given because it had the best views of Kampala town and one could have a thrilling view of the cars and other tall buildings of this historical city. Their comment in the morning was good about their first night on the trip and they had breakfast before being transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. They had a stopover for lunch and also at the Equator where they took some photos for remembrance. The journey was interesting to them and they loved what they saw along the way. They reached Queen in the evening and checked in their lodge for dinner and overnight.

The next day, they woke up and had breakfast before being briefed about the game drive they were about to go for in the next few minutes. They looked so excited and expectant. They set off for an early game drive at around 8:30 AM in the morning. According to the reports we got from the guide, they loved everything and they enjoyed the uniqueness of the nature view. They encountered different animals like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, sitatunga, topi, Uganda kobs and many more. Their impression was good and they took different photos whenever a mammal was encountered. But what was missing was seeing a lion. One of them asked the guide why they haven’t seen any yet they had read about the African lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The guide asked the driver to drive to Ishasha sector well known for having the tree-climbing lions. On their surprise, they spent like 10 minutes without seeing one. The guide was worried that his clients would turn out to be disappointed with his services and started panicking. It was after 15 minutes when a lioness came out of the surrounding bush playing and roaming about the whole area. Everyone was excited at that moment and the tourists were so amazed. It was being chased by its cub and later a group of lions emerged from the bush. This was the best part of the safari as the tourists shouted full of happiness and enjoyment. They spent around 20 minutes with the lions before being transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight. In the evening they went for boat ride on the Kazinga Channel and they had the best experience on the water full of wonderful views of the hippopotamuses.

Then later returned to the lodge for dinner and overnight. The next day was all about transferring them back to Entebbe international airport for their flight back home. When they reached, they wrote a review about the trip on trip advisor and they ranked it the best in their lives. The stressed it that the lioness brought life to their safari.
