Before one is allowed to trek the gorillas in Uganda, he/she is supposed to obtain a gorilla permit which goes for USD600.The permit is a document which acts as an authorizing piece of paper to see the primates. Failure to obtain a permit means that you won’t be allowed to even come near any of the gorilla families in the country. For convenience, a visitor is advised to book for the permits at least 4 weeks before the dates of travel. This gives both the visitor and the Uganda Wildlife Authority ample time to plan for the best trip.
