3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Tour From Kigali
3 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking safari begins and ends within Kigali Rwanda. 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari Starting From Kigali
3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking From Kigali. Do you have limited time and probably traveling on budget yet hopping to spend some time with the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park? If yes, then this is the ideal safari for you.
3 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking safari begins and ends within Kigali, Rwanda and obviously takes a shorter time than if you had started from Kampala (Uganda). Ideally, Rwanda is the best gorilla destination (for tourists with less time) because it takes just 2 hours to drive from the Airport or City to Volcanoes National Park, but again it’s the most expensive because a gorilla permits cost $1500 per person, which is more than half the price in Uganda (at only $600) hence may not favor budget travelers.
The best option therefore is to arrive at Kigali International Airport then drive to Bwindi and the journey lasts only 4 hours. Another advantage with Uganda is that it is a home to majority of the Mountain gorillas (more than 400 of the 880 believed to be in the Wild while the rest and distributed across three National Parks).

Detailed Itinerary 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking From Kigali
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival, our driver guide will meet and pick you from Kigali International Airport, go for a City tour where you will visit some of the Genocide Memorial sites as well as local Craft and fruit markets and have lunch before continuing while enjoying the views of the a thousand rolling hills of Rwanda and finally to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Katuna and Cyanika border posts (journey lasts only 4 hours). While driving to the Park, you will also be rewarded with the jaw-dropping views of the beautiful landscape and rolling hills that characterize the Kigezi highlands, dubbed the “Switzerland of Africa”. Proceed to the Lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay within Gorilla safari lodge for luxury, Gorilla Valley Lodge/ Nshongi Gorilla Resort for midrange and Nshongi Gorilla Resort for budget.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the Park Headquarters for pre-tracking briefing about the guidelines of tracking and encountering the critically endangered mountain gorillas before being joined by the ranger and guides who will lead you through the jungles to encounter one of the habituated gorilla families. With walking stick, backpack (containing drinking water, non-flash camera, binoculars, snacks/or packed lunch), you will be dropped at the starting point for the adventure then hike through the dense forest searching for these primates and it lasts from one hour to several hours depending on their movement and location.
It should be noted that the activity is strenuous and requires participants to be physically fit but the magical moment of meeting face to face with the giant Apes will make you forget whatever challenge you went through. Trekkers are allowed to spend only one hour learning, take photographs and videos before returning to the Lodge for lunch and relaxation.
The afternoon will be for community/village tours to spend some quality time with the local communities living around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. While here, you will be entertained on some of the traditional songs and dances and learn about their lifestyles.
