Both Uganda and Rwanda’s Tourism Boards to work together

This is one the long-awaited developments that most tourism lovers have been looking up for. Finally, Uganda and Rwanda tourism boards have decided to combine their efforts as a way of transforming the countries into the best tourism destination in world. These East African countries are both landlocked and one would wonder how they have managed to gain their popularity but the secret behind this is that they are blessed with numerous attractions that keep on enticing people to visit.

With an estimate of 900 mountain gorillas left in the world, 85% of these rare primates are found in these two countries. Actually 70% of the registered safaris in Uganda and Rwanda are gorilla trips because most of the visitors come to look at the elegant primates as they graze in some of Africa’s finest ever-green rainforests. The fact that Uganda and Rwanda have very many common tourism fraternities makes them a perfect match when it comes to working together.

You can agree with me that this is the perfect timing for both countries because its coming to a tourism peak season when the countries host very many visitors. This move of working together by both countries was decided by delegates from both countries who agreed that it is the only way through which they can get a competitive advantage over other countries. Last year, the same initiative was hinted on as the delegates met in Uganda but it yielded nothing but this year, it was successful and everyone at the meeting agreed with the development.

With this development, I doubt if there is any African country that will compete with these two countries when it comes to attracting people from different countries. Marketing strategies aimed at improving the industry will be superb and they will be aimed at improving both counties.

Attractions in Uganda and Rwanda

Though most people know these countries for harboring the rare mountain gorillas, they have other attractions which are worth viewing. With Uganda having about ten national parks, there is no doubt that the country has almost all the adventurous experiences one can ever imagine. While in the country, you are assured of a breathtaking moment which comes with numerous activities like wildlife viewing, chimpanzee tracking, bird watching, cultural visits, nature walks, hiking safaris and many more. Get a different feel while in the pearl of Africa and live a life you will never forget.

Off course some of these activities can be enjoyed while in Rwanda but one special activity that is not found in Uganda is Dian Fossey grave hiking. Other interesting activities you can enjoy on a Rwanda safari include gorilla and golden tracking, chimpanzee trekking, bird watching and many more.

With all the above wonderful activities, both countries will work together to see that they market them to the rest of the world and increase on the number of visitors received annually.
