It s elevation is between 1,100 meters to the south and 1,590 meters to the north. Kibale is the most significant rain forest in east Africa and one of the most rewarding places to explore. The varied altitude supports different types of habitats, ranging from moist ever green forest to the north and semi-deciduous forest to the south to make up for up to 77% of the forested portion of the park.The remaining 23% accounts for the grassland, swamps and other plantations.
Over 351 species of trees have been recorded in Kibale Forest with some rising as high as 55m over 200 years old. A Part from birdwatching, the park is also well known for guided nature walks, Chimpanzees and local community. The park is a home of over 375 species of birds. Six (6) bird species are endemic to the Albertine region like including blue headed Sunbird, black capped Apalis, Collared Apalis, Dusky crimsoning, purple breasted sun bird and Red faced woodland warbler.

Day 1: Birding at Botanical gardens in Entebbe
Meet and greet with your guide then transfer to Botanical gardens for birding. While in the garden, you will see the golden-backed weaver, slender-billed and forest birds including forest birds including the splendid Ross’s and the Great blue Turacco. Your lunch will be served at the restaurant inside the gardens. Dinner and overnight at your booked accommodation.

Day 2: Kibale Forest National Park
Today, you be driven to Kibale forest national park. En route at Fort portal town for lunch. Proceed to the park and Check in on arrival to Kibale Forest Camp/Primate Lodge Kibale/Safari Hotel Bigodi for dinner and Overnight stay.
The park is rich in biodiversity and a home of about 70 mammal species. with 13 species of primates. The park has Uganda’s largest population of chimpanzees, estimated at about 1,450 individuals. It also has East Africa’s largest population of the red Colobus and the rare LHoest monkey.
Other primates in Kibale National Park include grey-cheeked Mangabey, olive baboon, bush baby, black-and-white Colobus, potto and red-tailed and blue monkeys. It hosts more than 375 species of birds. Some of those recorded include African Grey Parrot, Crowned Eagle, White-napped pigeon, Afep pigeon, African Pitta, Red-chested Owlet, Green-breasted pitta, Black bee-eater, Black-capped Apalis, Western Nicator, Yellow-spotted Nicator, Blue-headed Sunbird, Blue-headed sunbird, Brown-chested Alethe, and Little green bull among others.

Day 3: Bird at Bigodi Wetland
Today you will bird at Bigodi wetland. This wetland is found in Magombe swamp and is a home of about quite a good number of bird species including swamp flycatcher, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Yellow-spotted Barbet, yellow bill, White-spotted Flufftail, Western Nicator, White-tailed Ant-thrush, Grey-winged Robin-chat, Brown-backed Scrub-robi, brown eared woodpecker, grey parrot, bronze sunbird, black-crowned wax bill and blue throated roller, Black Bishop, White-breasted Negro finch among others.
