Age limit for gorilla trekking in Uganda’s National Park of Bwindi and Mgahinga is 15 years old, a person under 15 years old are not allowed to tracker gorillas in their natural environment of Mgahinga National Park and Bwindi National Park because those children tend to have communicable diseases that may be easily transmitted to mountain gorillas which are already endangered.

Children are also unpredictable since you can never tell how they will behave during gorilla trekking at a given family of mountain gorillas. In order to avoid all these, by law, all children below 15 years are not allowed to trek gorillas except those who are the lucky winner.
