On a game drive in Semuliki National Park, expect to come across buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, and interesting birds. The entire trip will begin and end in Kampala/Entebbe city.

Detailed Itinerary – 3 Days Semuliki National Park Wildlife Safari:
Day 1: Pick up & Transfer to Semuliki National Park.
After breakfast, you will be picked up and then drive to Semuliki National Park in Bundibugyo district, Western Uganda. The park lies close to Uganda border with the D.R. Congo and features Ituri rainforest.
It will be 6-7 hours’ drive journey but comes with a stopover at Fort Portal tourism city for lunch and then you will proceed to the Semuliki NP to check in at the lodge.

Day 2: Hike through the Sempaya Nature Trail to Sempaya Hot Spring & game drive in the afternoon.
Enjoy a delicious cup of tea/coffee and later, meet the guide first for briefing and then start active hike through the Sempaya nature trail. The Sempaya trail is 8km long trail leading you to the powerful Sempaya hot springs, a natural hot spring comprising of female and male. As you walk through, expect to see some primates like grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys and others.
Once you have reached the Sempaya hot springs, you will have great time and most essential of all, get a chance to boil your plantain or an egg. After, you will return and lunch will be provided at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will embark on a guided game drive and expect to encounter lots of buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, Uganda Kobs and birds.

Day 3: Departure.
You will be picked up at the lodge by the driver guide and today marks the end of your 3-day trip in Semuliki NP. Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe via Mubende route, about 6-7 hours and on arrival, get dropped off at the hotel/airport.

About Semuliki National Park;
Semuliki National Park is a 220sq.km protected area, home to 441 species of birds and also features section of extensive Ituri forest.
The park protects a significant population of birds including the red-billed dwarf hornbill, Nkulengu rail, spot-breasted ibis, white-crested hornbill, red rumped tinker bird, African piculet, lyre-tailed honey guide, yellow throated cuckoos, Western bronze napped pigeon, Gabon woodpeckers, piping hornbill, white bellied kingfisher, white thighed hornbill, orange cheeked waxbill, chestnut breasted negrofinch, red bellied malimbe, swamp palm bulbul, green tailed bristle bill, yellow throated nicator, and more.
