Detailed Itinerary 8 Days Uganda Safari:
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe city & drive to Lake Mburo National Park.
Get up a bit early and prepare yourself at your respective hotels in Entebbe city. After, have your things ready for the trip. First, you will have a delicious cup of tea/coffee at the hotel and then meet your driver guide who will give a short briefing about the entire trip.
You will leave Entebbe city at around 8:00am and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a rich savanna park with countless impalas and zebras. Driving to Lake Mburo Park will take about 4-5 hours and you will navigate via the Masaka-Mbarara route.
En-route to the park, you will have photography moment at the Equator crossing at Kayabwe. Other than photography, you may also opt to perform a water experiment on Equator crossing line for you to prove the difference between the 2 hemispheres.
From Kayabwe, you will connect up to Lake Mburo National Park and there are 2 access gates that is the Sanga gate accessible via the Sanga Trading Centre and the other is Nshara gate.
On arrival, you will proceed to check in your pre-booked safari lodge, enjoy a delicious lunch and also relax for some time.
At around 2:00pm, you will be embarking on a memorable boat cruise on Lake Mburo and this will run for 2-3 hours. Day 2: Enjoy the best of Lake Mburo Park game drive and transfer to Bwindi.
After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up ready to start your memorable game drive. Using your 4×4 safari vehicle, navigate via the enriching game tracks in Lake Mburo National Park and there will be an experienced guide to accompany you on the entire game drive.
Lake Mburo Park is known for its rewarding game viewing experiences. The park is home to diverse wildlife including abundant impala population, zebras, Rothschild giraffes, leopards, buffaloes, elands, and also bird species.
After the memorable 2-3 hour game drive, get back to check out of the lodge or continue to Bwindi if you already checked out.

Day 3: Experience the thrilling Bwindi gorilla trekking adventure & Batwa cultural encounter.
Begin your day with a hefty breakfast and later, join the rest of the guests for briefing on gorilla trekking regulations. You will meet the park official who will take you through the briefing and allocation of gorilla families-each to be visited by a maximum of 8 guests.
By 8:00am, you will be accompanied by an experienced and armed park guide for a search for a family of mountain gorillas in the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park. The trek to see these massive apes is generally unpredictable, but may go for 2-6 hours depending on several factors including your speed of walking and where to find them, etc.
Once you have finally come across a group of gorillas, you will be permitted to spend a maximum of 1 hour face to face with them, take pictures. After, walk back up to the briefing point to be awarded a gorilla trekking certificate.
From the briefing point, connect back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch. Late in the afternoon, your guide will accompany you to the Batwa community to interact with Batwa pygmies, learn how they lived in the jungles and some of the valuable medicinal plants. You will get back to the lodge to relax and have a night stay after great experience with the Batwa pygmies.

Day 4: Transfer from Bwindi National Park to Queen Elizabeth Park via Ishasha.
Leave your safari lodge early morning and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second biggest park and home to abundant mammal species including the distinct tree climbing lions.
On arrival at Ishasha, enjoy a short game drive and expect to come across the tree climbing lions and other mammals. A picnic lunch will also be had at Ishasha and in the afternoon, continue to the Northern section of Queen Elizabeth Park to check in your lodge for relaxation.

Day 5: Morning game drive via Kasenyi Track & Kazinga channel launch cruise.
Depart from your comfortable lodge for an exciting game drive via Kasenyi Plains, the Northern game track in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This sector is popular for its huge profusion of wildlife including small and large mammals like Africa bush elephants, cape buffaloes, spotted hyenas, lions, leopards, and antelope families.
You will drive back to the lodge to enjoy your lunch and some refreshments. After lunch, you will connect up to Kazinga channel for a boat cruise excursion. A boat cruise will run for 2-3 hours and expect to encounter a range of aquatic life including hippos, crocodiles and aquatic species. After the launch cruise, you will get back to chill at your respective lodges.

Day 6: Game drive & Depart for Kibale via scenic Crater Lake area.
Have a leisurely cup of tea/coffee and after, you will set off for a guided game drive in the morning. Catch up with sun risers as they become active for the day. Today’s game drive will also let you see other species that you missed to see the previous day.
After the short game drive, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park in Kabarole District, Western Uganda. Kibale National Park is where over 1500 chimpanzees live plus 12 more primates making it a true primate capital of the world. You will get to Kibale via the Crater Lake dominated area and once you arrive, check in your respective lodges.

Day 7: Experience the best of Kibale Forest Park chimpanzee tracking & visit Bigodi for nature walk.
Enjoy an early morning cup of tea/coffee and after, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing but first, get cleared at the reservation desk. Join others at the briefing area to get insight into the guidelines to be followed during actual chimpanzee tracking excursion.
Before you set off to search for chimpanzees, you will be sub-divided into 6 people and each group allocated an experienced park guide. You will begin the actual trek right from the visitor centre or board and you will be dropped at a particular starting point in the forest.
Your chimpanzee tracking adventure will be focused on already habituated chimpanzee community. The entire trek may run for 2-4 hours but includes an hour for you to observe closely how the chimpanzees behave and also taking pictures.
After interacting with chimpanzees, begin trekking back to visitor center or meet the driver guide at the point he or she dropped you at. Continue to the lodge for relaxation, enjoy lunch and by 2:00pm, expect to indulge in a memorable guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland.
Bigodi wetland alone shelters diversity of primates including olive baboons, blue monkeys, Uganda red colobus monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys, and also several birds totaling up to about 138 species. From Bigodi, you will get back to have a leisurely evening at the lodge.
Day 8: Departure from Kibale to Entebbe city
Have a delicious cup of tea/coffee and later, check out of the lodge/camp. The driver guide will take you back to Entebbe city and you will drive via the beautiful Fort Portal tourism city-Mubende-Mityana, about 6 hours’ drive.
