Uganda privileged to host the tourism festival

Also known as the “pearl of Africa”, Uganda has been chosen to host this year’s tourism festival which is to take place at Speak Resort Munyonyo on 11th November to 16th of the same month. This long awaited function will be graces by over 500 delegates from different countries who will come to discuss the various ways of improving the tourism sector of the country and their respective countries. Issues to be handled during the festival are more of making Africa a better place in terms of wildlife and cultural safaris.

However, Uganda will be the luckiest country because this festival will prevail an opportunity to market its tourism potentials both to the delegates and the visitors on the festival. It will enable the country to send a message to people in different corners of the world about the hard-to find adventurous attraction that made it “the pearl of Africa”. Both private and public sectors in the country are expected to improve after this congress because many investors will be attracted to invest their money in this great nation.

According to the newly elected Uganda Hotels Owner Association committee, people who will be attending this festival will have a lifetime experience as they are assured of a comfortable relaxation in the various hotels of the country. This will entice them to explore more about Uganda by visiting the various tourism destinations in and out of Kampala. They will be given a chance of visiting some of the cultural sites in the city which have attracted people from different parts of the world for the past years. This will take place after the congress and the delegates will find out the secret behind Uganda’s attractive nature.

Some of the leading activities visitors enjoy on a Uganda safari include gorilla tracking, chimpanzee trekking, bird watching, cultural tours, nature walks, village visits, hiking trips and game viewing. These can be experienced in any of the 10 national parks but gorilla tracking is only done from Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga national parks. These elegant primates are worth viewing because of their interesting lifestyle and their human-like behaviors.

Delegates depending on their programmes can transfer to any of the national parks where they will have an opportunity of enjoying a thrilling experience of true nature of Uganda. They will compare this beauty with that of their countries and judge for themselves why this East African country was declared the leading tourism destination in Africa.

In conclusion, Uganda is in the best position of gaining from the 2014 tourism festival because of the higher chances of marketing its safari packages to the delegates from different countries who will attend the congress.
