Day 1: Set off for a birding tour in Queen Elizabeth National Park

A hefty breakfast at the hotel and after, leave Kampala/Entebbe for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a memorable road trip setting off via the Masaka-Mbarara-Bushenyi route and includes a stopover visit at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe. You connect to the park after photography and perhaps purchase some souvenirs. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon and have a relaxed stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Birding tour & game viewing

Enjoy breakfast and after, you will be picked up at the lodge ready to embark on a combined birding & game drive tour along Kasenyi Plains, the Northern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Huge mammal populations will be encountered along this sector including lions, buffaloes, elephants, giant forest hogs, warthogs, leopards (on a lucky day), spotted hyenas, and birds such as sacred ibis, bustards, etc.

Return from the birding and game drive experience, relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise and you will be viewing hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic bird species. The water birds to keep an eye on along the Kazinga channel include African hornbill, kingfishers, saddle-billed stork, sacred ibis, hadada ibis, skimmers, pelicans, and more.

Day 3: Depart for Kampala

After a delicious breakfast, you will leave the lodge for short guided nature walk through Maramagambo Forest. A variety of forest birds will be spotted and some primates, after, setting off for Kampala through the Bushenyi route.
