Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kyegegwa to Fort Portal
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in 4×4 safari vehicle with pop-up roof via Fort Portal the shortest route of 7-8 hours’ drive. Leave Kampala early after a hot cup of tea or coffee in your respective hotels in Kampala and pick up at 7:00am. En-route, expect to drive through districts/towns such as Mityana, Mubende, Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Fort Portal and Kasese then finally to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 1978sq.km protected area located in Western Uganda.
En-route lunch will be had at Gardens Restaurant Fort Portal and after that, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park to check in at your accommodation. Have good time relaxing at your lodge while enjoying whispers of the wild or relax at the pool, dine and retire for the night.

Day 2: Game Drive (2-3 hours) & Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel (2 hours)
Set off for a guided game drive before the sun rises and explore the extensive Kasenyi Plains, the Northern game track of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The 2-3 hours of game driving via the savanna plains will treat with amazing animal sighting including large herds of cape buffaloes, elephants, spotted hyenas, leopards (on a lucky day), lions, warthogs, birds, and more. End your game drive at Katwe Salt Mine, have some insight into how salt is mined locally at Katwe Crater and also purchase some souvenirs at the craft shop nearby.
After, drive back to the lodge and have early lunch followed by relaxation at the lodge you pre-booked. Leave by 1:00pm for an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel which starts at 2:00pm for 2 hours and expect myriad of animal sightings including crocodiles, hippos, aquatic birds, elephants, buffaloes, etc. Disembark at Mweya and catch up with your driver for transfer back to the lodge for evening relaxation.

Have a heavy breakfast and later leave with pack of lunch to be enjoyed on the way in your 4×4 safari vehicle. Taking the Bushenyi-Ishaka-Mbarara route with a chance to make a stopover at Equator crossing or via Kasese-Ndali Lodge route with a chance to enjoy view of scenic Craters such as Lake Nyinambuga. Get back to Kampala or Entebbe to be dropped at your hotel or next destination.
