1 Day Adventure visit to Ngamba Island Chimp Sanctuary
Tour Overview
Ngamba Island is situated in the Ugandan part of Lake Victoria and lies just south of the equator making it easy to access while on a Uganda Safari tour. Ngamba is part of the Kome group of islands which are part of the Mukono District Administration. The Island is about 40 hectares in size and lies approximately 25 kms south–east of the town of Entebbe in Lake Victoria. To the west of Ngamba Island lies Nzadsi Island, while to the east is the larger Kome Island. It is from this island that the group of islands Ngamba belongs to take its name.The journey to Ngamba Island from the jetty at Entebbe takes about forty-five minutes by speed boat and between one and a half and two hours by traditional motorized boat at Uganda wildlife Education Center. What is interesting about day tours to Ngamba Island is the feeding sessions which occurs between 11:00 a.m and 2.30 P.M. We offer two types of day trips.The morning session which begins at 7:30 am and ends at 16: 45 Pm. The afternoon session begins at 8: 45 am and ends at 18:00 pm.

- Morning Viewing
- 7: 15 AM: The driver arrives at your hotel in Kampala
- 7:30 AM: Depart for Entebbe.The drive is approximately Forty five (45) minutes
- 8:30 AM: Arrive at Entebbe and go to Uganda wildlife Education Center for your registration for the trip at Ngamba
- 8:45 AM: You will board the boat
- 9:00 AM: Start the Journey to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary for trekking safaris
- 10.00 AM: You will arrive at the Ngamba Island and have a briefing before you take a tour around the Island
- 11.00 AM: This is the time when chimps are fed.You will see how they interact and feed with the care takers. At this time, it is the climax of this tour.
- 12:00 PM: Have a boat back to the Entebbe
- 13:00 PM: Reach at Entebbe where your driver will be waiting for you. Go for lunch around Entebbe Town
- 14:00 PM: Visit Entebbe Wildlife Education Center. Take a tour to have a sight of the wild animals in the Jungles of Uganda
- 16:00 PM: You will be transferred back to Kampala.
- 17:00 PM: The driver will drop you off to your Accommodation

- 8:45 AM: Driver reaches at your hotel accommodation in Kampala
- 9:00 AM: Start the Journey to Entebbe.The Journey is approximately forty five (45) minutes drive.
- 9:45 AM: Arrival at Entebbe and head to Uganda Wildlife Educational center to register for the dock. Have a sight at the wild animals at the center.
- 11.00 AM: You will have an early lunch before boarding the dock.
- 12:30 PM: Walk down to the dock to board your boat to Chimpanzee Sanctuary
- 12:45 PM: Depart for Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary approximately 100 acre Island and is a home for about 29 orphaned chimpanzees.
- 13.45 PM: Arrival at the Island. Be briefed about your safari tour around the Island.
- 14:30 PM: At this time, this is the Chimp feeding time. Here you will see how chimps are fed and interact with caretakers at feeding time. At this time, this climax of your tour itinerary.
- 16:00 PM: You will board the boat back to Entebbe which is the main land.
- 17:00 PM: Arrive at Entebbe where your driver will be awaiting for you. You will then be driven back to your accommodation min Kampala.
- 18:00 PM: Drop off to your Accommodation in Kampala.

Tour Highlights
One day cultural safari tour will take you through Namugongo Martyr’s Shrine, Uganda Museum, Bahai Temple, Crafts markets, local markets, Makerere University, Lubaga Cathedral, and Namirembe Cathedral, Old Kampala mosque, Mulago Hospital, Kibuli Mosque and Shopping options.
The shrines commemorate the martyrdom of believers who were burnt alive in 1885 and 1887.The shrines are located about 15 km east of Kampala city. At the shrines, more than more than 20 catholic and Anglican martyrs were burnt alive on the orders of Kabaka Mwanga in June 1886.Annually, on June third, Christians from Eastern and central Africa and the world over flock to Namugongo to pay their respects and renew their faith by paying pilgrimage to the martyrs who were burnt. At the martyrs shrine the church was constructed in the shape of a traditional Baganda hut locally known as akasiisiira.

1 Day White Water Rafting in Jinja
This one day white water rafting trip in Jinja will provide you with a magnificent experience of nature. It is perhaps the most fascinating activity along the Nile River, the world’s longest river. It thunders between heavily forested Islands and hikes widely into a series of spectacular rapids. The most prominent rapids along this might river are Bujagali falls. They are famously visited and indeed, they are a grade five rapids. If you are to participate in this trip, you will have to depart from Kampala early in the morning at around 7:00 am.You will be picked from your hotel by our professional guide then drive to Eastern part of the country via Mabira forest and town including Mukono and Lugazi.
